Making Recycling Posters And Informing People About Recycling (4 Hours of SERVICE)

On February the 23rd I made Recycling Posters. I made those posters to inform my friends in school about the importance of recycling.
I believe that recycling is really important and I wanted my friends to know it too. Therefore in between February the 23rd and March the 1st I informed the people in my school about the importance of recycling with my posters.

I believe that I accomplished my goals. My friends are aware of the importance of recycling now. They know that we can make a change by recycling the waste materials.
I'm so happy that my posters informed people. I believe that one day everybody will know that recycling is really important and is a necessity in our world. :)

Snowboarding (10 hours of ACTION)

On monday and tuesday, January the 16th and 17th I did snowboarding.
I practiced the things that I learned the other day. My snowboard teacher taught me how to turn to right and left on snowboard. I did my best to learn the turnings. I believe that I did a great job.
I really liked snowboarding, I would like to do it again. :)

Snowboarding (5 hours of ACTION)

On sunday, January the 15th, I did snowboarding! It was really good. I took snowboard lessons from The National Snowboard Team's coach. It was the first time that I did snowboarding so it was kind of a good experience. I did fell down lots of times so, my back hurts! :D But when I do snowboarding I feel the freedom! It felt like I can do everything in my life! It was so amazing to feel that.

In my first lesson I learnt how to balance myself on the snowboard. It was a little bit hard. I tried not to fell down but still I fell down lots of times! It was so embarrassing for me because everybody was watching me when I tried to do snowboarding. :D
But no matter what happens I really love snowboarding and I want to do it again! xxx

Spending Some Good Time With Disabled Children (2 Hours Of SERVICE)

On saturday, January the 14th, we had some kind of a party with disabled children. This was the last time that we had a chance to go to their rehabilitation center so, we threw a little 'goodbye party'. Me and my group made some pastries such as cakes and stuff, a day before.
We did really cool things to show them we care about them and we love them. Our biggest goal was to show them that we can be friends with them. We wanted them to see that whenever they feel bad or sad and stuff like that, they can be comfortable about telling those feelings to us. We can be friends to them not a bunch of students that trying to help them. We did help them but we want to be more then help, we want to be friends with them.
I can say that we achieved our goal. Im pretty sure that they know that they can count on us in every which way. It is a nice thing to know that they see us as a friend. It gives you the feeling that you can be able to help the others in every way; sometimes as a friend and sometimes as a teacher. I really felt the super awesome feeling that helping to other people gives... :)

Making Bookmarks With Disabled Children (2 hours of SERVICE)

On saturday, January the 7th, we (me and my friends) did bookmarks with disabled children. Our first goal was to encourage children to read books.  We wanted them to learn that reading books can make people happy, can make people think more clearly and can help them to act with more sensitivity.  Our second goal was that even if they are disabled they could do normal stuff as healthy children do.
Making bookmarks was our strategy. We know that making handcrafts is one of the things that children love the most so it was a tricky way to convince them that reading is FUN. When we were making our bookmarks with papers and colorful pencils we mentioned the good ways of reading such as reading in libraries, reading with patience. We also mentioned that they can find interesting fictional books for their ages. They were all so exited about reading and they all promised us that they will read more and more...
As for me, I really enjoyed in this activity. I felt that I can be able to advice good things to them, make them know the good things in our life. I know that their life is so hard for them. Being different is a hard thing and they are not able to make a lot of friends so, I hope they can see books as a friend. A friend that they can share their secrets with. I'm pretty sure that in our next activity, they will say that they are started to read a book. :)
